Larnaca police are looking for a gang of people after two people reported they were attacked early on Monday on the Finikoudes seafront and items stolen from them.

According to police, the robberies were committed between 2am and 2.45am when a group of around six to eight people approached and attacked the victims.

In the first, a 39-year-old foreign permanent resident was robbed of a watch worth €1,500 and a wallet containing €150.

The same perpetrators then attacked a foreign student, stealing a phone and bag containing personal documents.

In both cases, the victims suffered minor injuries.

Following the attacks, the perpetrators, described by police as young and possibly foreign, fled in different directions.
