An explosion occurred on Tuesday morning at the entrance of a building in Limassol.

Police said the explosion happened at 5am in the area of the old Limassol port and caused extensive damage to the entrance.

Investigations indicated the detonation of a low-impact improvised explosive device.

Police investigations are ongoing.
