The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) on Friday announced its Easter holiday schedule, informing investors and market participants of upcoming trading suspensions in April.
The exchange stated that on April 3, 2026 and April 6, 2026, which mark the celebration of Catholic Easter, no trading sessions or clearing and settlement of transactions will take place.
The suspension is due to the closure of the TARGET system, formally known as the Trans-European Automated Real-time Gross Settlement Express Transfer system, through which the financial settlement of transactions is carried out.
Despite the halt in trading activity, the offices of the Cyprus Stock Exchange will remain open for the handling of other operations and for public service.
The exchange further announced that on April 10, 2026, April 13, 2026 and April 14, 2026, which are public and bank holidays for Orthodox Easter, it will remain fully closed.
As a result, no trading sessions or clearing and settlement of transactions will be conducted on those dates.
The announcement clarified that the above arrangements also apply to the exchange’s role as the clearing house for the Cyprus Transmission System Operator.
Consequently, during these dates, the exchange will not carry out financial settlement or related activities for the Competitive Electricity Market.
