Police arrested a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman in Paphos on Monday as part of an investigation into alleged conspiracy offences and written threats direct towards the individual with who they intended to kill.

Investigators secured arrest warrants against both suspects following the complaint.

The 30-year-old man was arrested during the early hours of Monday by officers from the Paphos police.

He later appeared before Paphos district court, which approved a police request for his detention and issued a five-day remand.

Police said the woman, aged 27, was located and arrested shortly before midday on Sunday.

She remains in custody and is expected to appear before court on Tuesday for proceedings related to a detention order.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the alleged offences or the relationship between the two suspects and the complainant.
