Two men were arrested in Ayia Napa on Saturday after police found 300 unused nitrous oxide capsules in their possession during a vehicle inspection.

Police conducting regular checks stopped the vehicle being driven by a 26-year-old man, with a 29-year-old man as a passenger.

A search found and seized 300 unused nitrous oxide or ‘laughing gas’ capsules, as well as a number of balloons.

The two men were arrested, subsequently charged in writing and released.

The case is being investigated by Ayia Napa police.
