Police arrested four people on Friday night during overnight operations, with offences including theft, illegal residence in the Republic and drink-driving.

Officers stopped 613 vehicles and booked 102 for speeding, with eight vehicles being impounded.

Police tested 176 drivers for alcohol and reported 18, while the checks found no drivers under the influence of drugs.
