Three women, aged 44, 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of car arson in the village of Stavrokonou, police said on Wednesday.

Investigations started late on Friday when a fire was set in a car that was parked in the Paphos village.

Police and the fire service concluded the fire, was set maliciously, and evidence linked the three women with the crime, who were arrested in Limassol.

According to police, the suspects appear to have personal differences with a relative of the owner of the car.

The vehicle was partly damaged from the fire.
