In the last 24 hours, the police fined nine people and four businesses for violation of Covid decrees during 3,541 inspections islandwide.

In Nicosia there were 1,651 checks catching one individual for breaking the rules but police managed to nab four offenders in Limassol. Famagusta area police also uncovered four offenders from 379 checks.

Larnaca saw 510 inspections without catching anyone while in Paphos, there were 284 checks fining four businesses.

The businesses were booked mainly for having too many customers and people on the premises not using a mask.
