Christodoulides set to travel to Germany, meet Lagarde, Scholz

President Nikos Christodoulides will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin later this week where they will discuss the Cyprus problem and the proposal for greater EU involvement in the process.

The president’s office explained that he will travel to Germany on Wednesday and Thursday where he will also attend the ceremony for the 25th anniversary of the European Central Bank.

It was further stated that Christodoulides will meet with ECB President Christine Lagarde on the sidelines of the ceremony, with a dinner hosted later in the evening.

The following day Christodoulides will meet with Scholz, which will end in a joint press conference.

The president will visit the Denkmal Holocaust Memorial before departing for Cyprus.
