In a special Christmas concert, Cypriot singer Alexia shares the stage with 120 children and young musicians from local schools. December 23’s concert is organised by Paphos municipality and the Paphos Music School as part of their annual festive event. In a total Christmas mood, the concert will celebrate the joyous spirit of the season with classic Christmas season from the Golden Era of Hollywood films and beyond.

On the stage of Markideio Theatre, students of the Paphos Music School of all ages will share their talent performing classic arrangements with masterfully crafted orchestrations that creatively blend classical music with jazz, gospel, swing and improvisation – hallmarks of Alexia’s authentic sound – creating a warm festive atmosphere.

And that is not all. The event will also feature the Choirs, Orchestral Ensembles, and the Traditional Music Ensemble of the Paphos Music School, which will add even more cheer to the evening’s repertoire. What’s more, there will be two shows at 5.30pm and then again at 7.45pm.

“This concert is a celebration for the whole family,” say organisers, “filled with holiday cheer and beautiful music, all while supporting music education and culture.”
