A unique Greek adaptation of the famous Elf The Musical is hitting the Nicosia Municipal Theatre just days before 2024 ends. Coming to the capital for one night only, the performance is a production by the Future Academy of Arts in collaboration with the Karaiskakio Foundation and it will be an event to remember.

On stage, a 120-member choir, performers and musicians will bring the award-winning musical, beloved by millions worldwide, to life for just two performances next week.

The story is of course set around Christmas time and explores the true meaning of the season. Buddy the Elf isn’t like the other elves – he’s a human raised by elves at the North Pole. When he learns he isn’t actually an elf, Buddy sets off on an adventure to New York City to find his real father. The catch? His father, Walter Hobbs, is a grumpy, workaholic businessman with no time for Christmas cheer.

With boundless optimism, Buddy sets out to win over his sceptical new family, spread the Christmas spirit and teach everyone that life isn’t just about work – it’s about sweets, snowball fights, and believing in the magic of Christmas.

Both of the shows on December 29 (11am and 4pm) will raise proceeds which will be donated to the Karaiskakio Foundation’s Childhood Cancer Investigation and Diagnosis Programme – spreading joy to many children in need.

Families, friends and audiences as young as three years old are welcome to enjoy the musical and with just over a week to go until the event, few tickets are left for the Elf’s adventures in Nicosia.
