Exciting events are coming up in Paphos this week, from acclaimed theatrical performances to trail-running events and wine-tasting gatherings. First up is the 2025 Portfolio Tasting by Two Wine Merchants on Tuesday and Wednesday at Technopolis 20 – a celebration of exceptional wines.
Wine professionals and lovers are invited to attend the event and explore over 100 handpicked wines from Cyprus, Greece, Italy and France. What’s more, visitors will be able to meet the people behind the labels, hear the stories behind their creations and taste their wines. The event will run all day, from 12pm to 8pm, on both days.
Come Sunday, two more exciting events will take place in the Paphos area, offering two completely different experiences. Markideio Theatre will host the award-winning performance STILL! A Statue That Travelled the World, which visits Paphos for the first time. After it literally travelled the world, with tours in Lithuania, Armenia, Tunisia, North Macedonia and China, Enavsma Foundation, Petrideio Foundation and Technopolis 20 bring the production to Paphos.

Performed in a fictional language, the show is suitable for all ages and backgrounds. It tells the story of a girl who tries to befriend a statue of a soldier, teach it how to walk, talk and dance and live. Director Kostas Silvestros and choreographer Panagiotis Tofi jointly composed the production, based on a story invented by lyricist Stavros Stavrou. With the original music of the Greek pianist and composer Thodoris Economou as their vehicle, they create a feast of music, images and colours. It will come to life in Paphos this Sunday at 5pm.
For those seeking adventure, the Kato Pyrgos Trail Quest will kick off on Sunday at 9am from the centenarian oak tree on the village’s main road. This organised running event, is put together by Ntrails with the support of the Kato Pyrgos Community Council to offer a 29.32 km trail run experience.
The route will take seasoned runners on a scenic journey through the natural landscape of Kato Pyrgos and Morphou Bay. Runners can expect to encounter local wildlife, run through forest roads, trails and steep slopes.
