In Cyprus, the music never stops. Week after week, artists and event organisers produce a rich agenda with live performances for all tastes. The weekend usually holds the majority of the happenings – be it concerts, recitals, rock shows or acoustic nights. Yet, you do not have to wait for the weekend to arrive to enjoy some quality music. An exciting mid-week programme lies ahead.

In Paphos, Technopolis 20 will host a musical evening on Wednesday, February 26 dedicated to the cello and piano as the cultural centre welcomes back the celebrated duo of cellist Robertas Grod and pianist Angeles Iglesias.

“Renowned for their captivating performances,” says Technopolis 20, “this beloved duo has become a favourite among the Cyprus audience.” Their performance is set to begin at 8pm.

For their return to Technopolis 20, Grod and Iglesias will present a dynamic programme that spans diverse musical styles and emotions. Their repertoire will include Zoltán Kodály’s Sonatina, a piece of lyrical charm and Hungarian folk influences, Giorgos Karvellos’ The Windows (2024), a contemporary work infused with fresh perspectives, Franz Schubert’s Sonata in A minor, Arpeggione, a masterpiece of melancholic beauty and technical brilliance, and Astor Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango, a fiery and passionate blend of classical music and Argentinian tango.

And if it leaves you wanting more, March will bring even more performances at Technopolis 20. Stay tuned.
