This season has it all – concerts, plays, parades, exhibitions and approaching soon are pop-up markets! Three upcoming arts and crafts markets signal a new season, get us in a party mood and showcase the many creatives of the island.

First up, is the Cyberness Carnival Market in Limassol next Sunday, March 2. Staying true to organising a market every first Sunday of the month, the Cyberness team prepares for a total carnival extravaganza next weekend, joining the whole island in its celebrations.

From 4pm until late, Kolla Culture Factory will host over 100 local makers and shops featuring handcrafted items, art and unique finds, a bar and food court with street food and carnival-inspired cocktails and an art gallery. Meanwhile, DJs and bands will entertain market-goers throughout the event while a workshop area and a kids’ zone will offer creative sessions.

But that is not all. A costume contest will be on so arrive with your best carnival look, street performers will roam the area and a Maslenitsa Burning Ceremony will offer a fiery finale to the event.

On the following weekend, Restolake Restaurant in Oroklini will host the first-ever Lakeside Market. Happening on March 9, from 10am to 2pm, this market is “for those who create and for lovers of handmade and homemade products,” organisers say. Expect local artists, delicious flavours and a cosy atmosphere.

Also happening on March 9 but at The Mills in Linou village is the Solea Valley Market. All-day long, from 11am to 5pm, a pop-up market will feature all sorts of products and creations, a kids’ arts and crafts corner and creative workshops, a sound system with DJs, barefoot dancing on the olive grove’s grass area and happy spring vibes all around!
