Described as demonstrating “an extraordinary expressive intelligence,” pianist Sergey Belyavsky is renowned for his vast and diverse repertoire, and he has been called “one of the best pianists in the world today.” This March, he will be making his Cyprus debut, performing for one night only at The Shoe Factory in Nicosia.
Sergey is no stranger to the stage and the world of classical music. He has won prizes in more than 30 international piano competitions. His successful career and charm have led him to perform in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and he has even appeared in concert with several outstanding symphony orchestras.
On March 7, he will take the floor solo as The Shoe Factory prepares for another exquisite evening of musical brilliance. For his first time performing in front of Cyprus audiences, Sergey promises to fascinate the audience with his technical command and deeply nuanced interpretations in a bold and ambitious programme of works by Bach, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Scriabin and Schumann.
