Family programmes, children’s STEAM workshops and more events about space and science are happening this month at Kition Planetarium and Observatory. On Saturday visitors will have the opportunity to observe many planets and the moon in the same evening.
The event will also celebrate International Women’s Day by highlighting women in science. What’s more, visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of the evening sky with telescope observations.
On March 29, the observatory will join the worldwide movement for Earth Hour 2025. The day’s programme will include learning about light pollution and how to protect the planet. Also happening in March will be the children’s favourite – Ice Age and Dinosaurs STEAM workshops.
Two STEAM workshops will be held on March 22 related to the Ice Age. A session in English will take place at 10am and a session in Greek at 3pm.
The Dinosaur STEAM workshops will take place on March 29, again in English first and then in Greek. These sessions are fun, interactive and educational and suitable for children aged between six and 12.
