With Cyprus marking March 25, a national and religious holiday, the police have stepped up security measures across all districts, prioritising public safety during the day’s events.
Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution, follow traffic signals and comply with instructions from on-duty officers.
In addition to managing traffic, police have also intensified crime prevention efforts, particularly against property-related offences such as burglaries, thefts and robberies.
On-foot and mobile patrols have been deployed in both urban and rural areas.
Additionally, the police informed the public that the main Evrychou–Kakopetria road has been closed in both directions due to a student parade taking place in the area.
Drivers are advised to proceed with caution and follow police instructions regarding alternative routes until the event concludes.
