What happens if you combine spiritual techniques like Channeling with Piano improvisation? A unique live event in Paphos next week offers an unmatched experience. Piano sounds, floor sitting and relaxation are on the agenda for April 3 at Technopolis 20 led by spiritual teacher and multi-instrumentalist René Amtenbrink.

At a Piano-Channeling Soundjourney event, the feeling that some artists describe as “becoming one with the audience” is taken to another dimension, creating a new and unique experience: both children and adults describe as magical.

After a bit of a warm-up playing, René enters a state where he plays beyond regular improvisation, letting the music channel through him guided by feeding into what suits the connection towards the audience in the here and now.

The feedback ranges from “just relaxing and falling asleep”, to “getting happy, feeling warmth around the heart and releasing tears” up to having some sort of psychedelic trips like the impression of “flying around the universe”.

For others it may just be music that has little profound effect. Yet, the music also invites everybody to reflect or mirror aspects of one’s personality and life story as a musical canvas. It is a completely individual experience and the audiences’ personal interpretation, depending on their current mood and what resonates in the moment.

If you are open to experience such a kind of magic, this soundjourney is experienced best with closed eyes while lying down and not to be disturbed by applause. Afterwards, you may shake hands or give a hug instead of applause.

What is also different about this event is that audiences will not sit on chairs but yoga mats (which they are to bring) or something similar. The main room and the two side rooms at Technopolis 20 will be used for this event, which means for about half of the spots, the piano will not be visible, yet audiences will have a great experience hearing it from those spots too.

The evening will have two sets of channelings with a small break in between, about one hour in total. After the main event, there will be room for some questions, feedback and some time to connect with each other and give attention to things that showed up during the session.
