An upcoming event in Nicosia will bring Cypriot recipes that go beyond the farm-to-table concept. In the Taste of Cyprus event at The Home Café, Joy of Origins will prepare dishes that highlight the country’s culinary heritage.
In another Kitchen-Take-over happening at The Home Café (housed within the Home for Cooperation opposite Ledra Palace), a Cypriot chef will serve recipes that feature Cyprus’ flavours, aromas and traditions. “Expect Mediterranean ingredients, rich herbs and dishes that tell a story of tradition and culture,” say organisers.
Two sittings will be available on Sunday, April 13; from 12pm to 2pm and from 2pm to 4pm. “Come experience the warmth and hospitality of Cypriot cuisine for one day only,” organisers add. “Whether you’re familiar with these flavours or trying them for the first time, this is a dining experience you won’t want to miss. Gather your foodie crew and let’s indulge in a true Cypriot delight.”
Also coming up at the Home Café is a book club meeting on April 25, happening in English, discussing the book Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Book Club meetings will happen every month at 5pm with details published on Facebook www.facebook.com/TheHomeCafeCyprus.
