Spring is full of fragrant aromas, fruity produce, warm sunshine to accompany rural road trips and so many reasons to be out and about. As the island comes to life, along with its blossoming trees, traditional festivals return to celebrate this wonderful season in Cyprus. This Sunday, the 8thCitrus Blossom Festival in Limassol’s Episkopi village arrives to mark the spring season in true Cypriot style.

Held at the village’s Eleftheria Square, the festival will be a fun day of music, tradition and tasting local creations made with citrus blossoms or inspired by the fruit. For a taste of something truly special, refreshing and spring-themed, head over to the festival from 12pm to 3pm when chef Yiorgos Erotokritou will be making his ‘blossom pudding’ recipe, showing visitors his know-hows and secrets.

Later on, a free concert will entertain the crowds at 5.30pm as Michalis Violaris takes the stage, accompanied by Andriana Kollia and Lefteris Pitsillides, backed by the Orfeas musical ensemble. Throughout the day there will also be a sweets demonstration and citrus blossom water making, games, workshops and activities for all ages while visitors are invited to try local delicacies, desserts and jams featuring the fragrant citrus blossom.
