The photography exhibition Open Doors makes a comeback at Art & Shock Gallery in Paphos this May as part of the Talents of Cyprus project. From Saturday to May 11, the exhibition will showcase the works of eight photographers, each sharing their own visual identity.

“Each photographer at the exhibition serves as a director, creating true atmospheric films and series through the lens of their camera,” say organisers. “You can expect a variety of techniques and stories: from natural light that conveys the familiar surrounding atmosphere to unusual solutions with artificial lighting, transforming the frames into bright feasts.

“Stunning works connected to our lives, the world around us, and each other await,” they add, “we will see things that sometimes seem completely forgotten.” The exhibition hopes to connect art lovers, collectors and artists and to enrich homes and offices with new unique gifts. “Moreover, you will have the opportunity to meet interesting photographers – perhaps one of them will be ‘just right’ for you.”

And that is not all the exhibition has in store. A lottery competition will give out exciting prizes including works by the exhibiting artists, portrait photography and much more. On the opening night, at 6pm, prosecco, champagne and snacks will be offered as vocalist Evgenia Molchanova entertains gallery-goers.
