April is here with more exciting events for all ages and interests! This weekend’s agenda has something fun in store around the island – in the city and in the villages. Here’s what’s on this Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Markets
From 11am to 7pm, a market will take over the Nicosia venue as 18 artists set up their stalls and present their handmade creations. Meanwhile, six food specialists will share their delicious creations and four creative workshops will take place.
At 11am, Urban Sketchers Cyprus will gather with those who like to draw and sketch at Yfantourgeio’s rooftop for a sketching session above the old city.
An Easter workshop for children aged three to 12 will offer hands-on activities doing papier-mâché egg painting and candle decorating, running twice – first at 11am and again at 3pm. At 4pm, a theatre workshop with paper boxes will entertain children aged five to 10. Later, at 5.30pm, the interactive game Brain Battles, inspired by game shows, will offer young visitors quick, creative challenges.
Acropolis Park in Nicosia will host the Spilia Bazaar – Easter Edition 2026, filling the park with local art vendors, bouncy castles and music. The event will run from 2 to 8pm with free entrance.
Paphos too will enjoy an art bazaar as The Metoxi of Polemi, The Willow Kitchen & Bar, and The Makers Space present the Spring Makers Market this Sunday. Held at the Metoxi of Polemi, more than 50 makers will showcase their creations between 11am and 3pm.
Live music
The weekend’s live music choices begin with a family-friendly Saturday morning celebration. The Party of Children’s Songs at Technopolis 20 on Saturday at 11am will bring together fairy tales and children’s music in a charming gathering. The Residents of Lilipoupolis, lyrics of the Tragoudakia Galaktos and the upbeat rhythms of Burger Project will unite children and adults in a fun morning with Phoebe Ioardanous on piano, Stephanie Neophytou on vocals and Giorgo Nikolaou on percussion. Reservations can be made at 7000-2420.
Sunday afternoon in Nicosia will bring together young musicians on stage. The Crossing Paths concert by Sistema Cyprus will unite the talented children performers of the ensemble with the Junior Strings and Percussion Orchestra of Nicosia. The 6pm performance at Satiriko Theatre will also present the Beginner Strings Orchestra, which will take the stage for the first time under the supervision of Anastasia Nicolaidou.
Festivals
Happening from Friday to Sunday is the 11th Cyprus International Tattoo Convention that connects the island’s tattoo artists and lovers with international body ink artists. Spreading around the Lanitis Mill Complex in Limassol, the Convention will welcome dozens of artists working on the spot, live acts and contests.
Then, to celebrate the fruity season, Episkopi puts on its 9th Citrus Blossom Festival this Sunday, displaying various delicious citrus infusions, sweets and beverages while a live music programme and games entertain old and young.
In Nicosia, the MBS Wellbeing Day will take over Eleftheria Square with back-to-back events on holistic health, movement, art and wellness. Apart from its renowned MBS Marketplace, there will be short workshops, dance and music performances and stalls to browse.
Films, wines, & plays
Also on the weekend agenda is a screening from National Theatre Live which will present Shakespeare’s Hamlet at Rialto Theatre. Held on Saturday evening at 8pm, the screening will be in its original English and include subtitles in English and Greek.
For wine talks, wine tastings, vinyl music and fresh pasta, the GRAPES/sips & scenes event at ARTos House in Nicosia will take a close look at wine culture, linking the public with the people who know and do wine best.
Finally, to end the week with cinema, STYX Film Encounters continues its Sunday night viewings with a screening of Fellini’s 1965 film Juliet of the Spirits at Pantheon Cinema at 5.30pm.
