Want to explore Nicosia’s stories and communities beyond its fortifications? This guided old city walk will do just that. The date has been set for the Home for Cooperation’s next English-language walk and on April 25, participants will discover the old town Beyond the Walls.

Setting off from Home for Cooperation at 10am, this two-hour walk will be led by Mehmetcan Soyluoglu and will cross the city’s checkpoints to connect the tales and landscapes that connect a divided city.

“Moving across the divide,” say organisers, “the walk reflects on how a historic city was shaped not only from within, but also through routes, memories and relationships extending across the island. It considers how some of these connections became central to public narratives, while others remained quieter traces within the urban fabric.”

Welcoming a limited number of participants and given the walks’ fully booked past events, those interested in joining next week’s walk are advised to sign up soon. Registrations are now open through an online link on the Home for Cooperation’s website.
