The police arrested nine individuals on Sunday night, including for assault, drugs and illegal residence.

A total of 400 vehicles were pulled over and 516 drivers and passengers checked. The police filed 225 reports for traffic violations and impounded 13 vehicles.

As a result of the checks, 101 individuals were booked for speeding, five for drink driving and two for driving under the influence of drugs.

The police also raided 39 establishments and filed two reports.
