A 23-year-old man was found with abdominal injuries in an open area in Kato Polemidia, Limassol, shortly before 2.30pm, police said on Tuesday.

The man’s injuries had possibly been caused by a sharp object.

The man was taken by ambulance to Limassol general hospital, where he underwent surgery.

The circumstances of the injury remain unclear and police are continuing investigations.
