Paphos International Airport, (PFO), is the main airport serving western Cyprus. It is approximately 15km southeast of central Paphos and is normally the most convenient airport for Kato Paphos, Coral Bay, Peyia, Polis, Latchi and resorts such as Aphrodite Hills.

Paphos Airport arrivals and departures: checking your flight
Passengers and anyone collecting them should check the airport operator’s live flight information. Select Paphos Airport and search by flight number, airline or destination.
The airline remains the authoritative source for check-in deadlines, cancellations and rebooking. An airport board may show that a flight is delayed, but only the airline can confirm whether passengers should still report at the original check-in time.
Common causes of delays at Paphos include:
- regional airspace restrictions;
- aircraft arriving late from an earlier flight;
- congestion during the summer tourist season;
- air-traffic-control restrictions;
- adverse weather in Cyprus or at the destination;

Getting from Paphos Airport to your destination
Local buses are the cheapest way to reach Paphos, but most passengers travelling to Coral Bay, Peyia, Polis or Latchi must change services. A taxi or private transfer is substantially more expensive but provides direct delivery.

Taxis are available outside arrivals. Ride-hailing applications may also operate in the Paphos district, but availability can be limited late at night or outside the urban and resort areas. Passengers arriving after the final bus should consider arranging a transfer in advance.
Paphos Airport to Paphos town and Kato Paphos
Two public bus routes connect the airport with Paphos:
- Route 612 serves the tourist area and runs between Paphos Airport and the Tombs of the Kings bus station, travelling through Kato Paphos.
- Route 613 runs between the airport and Karavella bus station, which serves the city centre and provides connections to other parts of the district.
Both routes operate throughout the year, although departure times and frequency differ. Route 612 is normally the more useful option for visitors staying near the harbour, seafront or Tombs of the Kings. Route 613 is better for the old town and onward regional services. A taxi from the airport to Paphos or Kato Paphos generally costs €35–€45 and takes around 20–25 minutes.
Local tip: “Paphos centre” can mean the old town, Kato Paphos or the harbour. Check the hotel’s location before deciding between routes 612 and 613.
Paphos Airport to Coral Bay, Chloraka and Peyia
There is no single regular public bus from the airport to Coral Bay.
Take route 612 towards Paphos and change to route 615, which serves Tombs of the Kings Avenue, Chloraka and Coral Bay. A second ticket may be required, bringing the typical total to approximately €4. The journey can take 60–90 minutes depending on the connection.
For Peyia, passengers normally travel to Coral Bay and continue by local bus or taxi. Services become less frequent away from the main tourist corridor.
A taxi or private transfer generally costs:
- €45–€55 to Chloraka
- €50–€65 to Coral Bay
- €55–€70 to Peyia
Local tip: For two or more travellers with luggage, compare the combined bus fares and waiting time with a pre-arranged taxi. Public transport remains cheaper, but a missed connection can add considerable time.
Paphos Airport to Polis and Latchi
Reaching Polis or Latchi by bus requires connections through Paphos, usually via Karavella bus station. The journey may take several hours once waiting time is included, particularly on Sundays and public holidays.
Depending on the connection and number of tickets required, allow approximately €6–€10 per passenger. Check the final departure from Paphos carefully: arriving after it may leave a long and expensive taxi journey.
A direct taxi or private transfer normally costs €90–€120 and takes approximately 50–65 minutes.
Local tip: Visitors staying in Polis or Latchi should not assume that an evening flight will connect with the final regional bus. A pre-booked transfer or hire car is often the realistic option.
Paphos Airport to Aphrodite Hills, Pissouri and nearby resorts
Aphrodite Hills lies relatively close to the airport by road, but it is not served by a simple direct airport bus. The same applies to several individual resorts and villas between Paphos and Limassol.
A taxi normally costs approximately:
- €45–€60 to Aphrodite Hills
- €55–€75 to Pissouri
The drive generally takes 20–35 minutes, depending on the property.
Local tip: Some accommodations described as being “in Paphos” are actually located well outside the urban area. Enter the full hotel name or villa address when requesting a quotation.
Paphos Airport to Limassol
The Limassol Airport Express provides scheduled services between Limassol and Paphos Airport. The journey normally takes approximately 45–75 minutes and costs about €10 per adult and €5 per child.
The principal Limassol stop is Agios Georgios Havouzas. This is convenient for the motorway but is not in the historic centre or main seafront hotel district. Most visitors need a local bus or taxi for the final part of the journey.
A taxi or private transfer from Paphos Airport to Limassol generally costs €90–€120.
Local tip: Compare flights to both Cyprus airports when staying in Limassol. Paphos Airport is geographically closer to western Limassol, while Larnaca may have a wider choice of flights.
Paphos Airport to Larnaca and Larnaca Airport
Kapnos operates scheduled services involving Paphos and Larnaca airports, but frequency varies and a connection may be required. Allow approximately €18–€25 and two to three hours, depending on the service.
Travellers heading to Larnaca city may still need another local bus or taxi after reaching Larnaca Airport.
A direct taxi or private transfer usually costs:
- €120–€150 to Larnaca Airport
- €140–€170 to Larnaca city
The drive takes around 1½ hours in normal conditions.
Local tip: If your final destination is Larnaca, Ayia Napa or Protaras, flying directly into Larnaca Airport will almost always be more convenient.
Paphos Airport to Nicosia
Kapnos operates airport shuttle services connecting Paphos Airport with Nicosia on selected schedules. Check the timetable for the particular travel date because services are less frequent than the Larnaca Airport connection.
The shuttle terminates at the Kapnos station on Kyrenias Avenue rather than in central Nicosia. Passengers may need a local bus, taxi or collection from there.
A direct taxi or private transfer generally costs €140–€180 and takes approximately two hours.
Local tip: Do not plan a tight connection between a regional bus and a departing flight. Build in time for motorway traffic and possible shuttle delays.
Getting from Paphos Airport to the north
There is no standard Republic of Cyprus public airport shuttle connecting Paphos Airport directly with destinations in the Turkish-occupied north of the island.
Car hire at Paphos Airport
Car-rental desks are available in and around the arrivals area. Some companies provide on-airport collection, while others transfer customers to an external depot.
Confirm where the vehicle will be collected before booking. An off-site rental may be cheaper, but it can add waiting time—particularly late at night.
Drivers generally need:
- a full, valid driving licence;
- a passport or recognised identity document;
- the rental confirmation;
- a credit card in the principal driver’s name;
- an International Driving Permit where required.
Common costs and restrictions to check include:
- the security deposit and card pre-authorisation;
- insurance excess and collision-damage-waiver terms;
- exclusions for tyres, windscreen, roof and underbody;
- full-to-full or prepaid fuel arrangements;
- young or older-driver charges;

- late-arrival charges;
- mileage restrictions;
- one-way fees for returning the car at Larnaca Airport;
- permission and insurance for crossing the Green Line.

Parking at Paphos Airport
Paphos Airport has short-stay, covered long-stay and several uncovered long-stay parking areas. All official airport car parks are self-parking, so drivers retain their keys.
Published drive-up prices effective from December 1, 2025 are:

At the drive-up tariff, seven days in P7 costs approximately €34, compared with about €87 in covered P2.
Booking through the official Hermes Airports parking portal may secure a lower price. Online reservations normally need to be completed at least two hours before arrival.
The airport’s drop-off area is intended only for brief passenger drop-offs. Drivers waiting for arriving passengers should use the designated short-stay car park.
Private parking, valet collection and car-care services
Independent parking companies operate near Paphos Airport. Services may include off-site parking with an airport shuttle, valet collection, covered storage and car cleaning or maintenance.

Auto Air Park states that its premises and drivers are insured and that it records the vehicle’s condition, mileage and fuel level. Customers must leave their keys with the operator.
Before handing over a vehicle, confirm:
- the company’s registration and insurance;
- whether its drivers are insured for customers’ vehicles;
- what fire, theft and accidental-damage cover applies;
- where the vehicle will be stored;
- whether staff may move or drive it;
- whether collection and return are available around the clock;
- what happens if the return flight is delayed;
- whether VAT and car-care services are included.
Photograph the exterior, wheels, mileage and fuel level when surrendering the car. Remove valuables and obtain a receipt recording its condition.
Facilities and what to expect inside
Paphos Airport has a single passenger terminal. Facilities include:
- Check-in and security: Allow two to three hours unless the airline advises otherwise.
- Food and drink: Cafés, takeaway food and bars are available, although opening times may follow flight demand.
- Shopping: Duty-free and other retail outlets operate after security.
- Lounge: A passenger lounge is available airside. Access may be included with eligible tickets or memberships, with paid entry subject to capacity.
- Wi-Fi: Free airport Wi-Fi is available.
- Accessibility: Accessible parking, toilets, priority seating and boarding equipment are provided. Request airline assistance at least 48 hours ahead where possible.
- ATMs and currency exchange: Available in the terminal. Check the exchange rate and commission before converting money.
- Baggage wrapping: Available through the airport’s wrapping-service provider.
- Luggage storage: The airport does not prominently advertise the same dedicated storage service available at Larnaca. Confirm availability with Hermes Airports before travelling if storage is essential.
- Smoking: The designated airside smoking area is at the Beer Garden after passport control.
- Prayer room: A dedicated prayer room is not clearly listed among the airport’s public facilities. Ask at the information desk if a quiet space is required.
- Passenger information: Airport staff can provide directions, but the operating airline must handle cancellations, refunds and rebooking.
What to do if your flight is delayed or cancelled
Check the live airport board and the airline’s website or application. Keep your boarding pass, booking confirmation, receipts and screenshots of delay or cancellation notices.
Flights departing from Paphos Airport are covered by Regulation EC 261/2004, regardless of the airline’s nationality.
Depending on the length of the delay and the flight distance, the airline may have to provide:
- reasonable food and refreshments;
- access to communication;
- accommodation if an overnight stay becomes necessary;
- transport between the airport and the hotel;
- rerouting or a refund following cancellation;
- reimbursement when a departure delay reaches five hours and the passenger decides not to travel.
Passengers who arrive at their final destination at least three hours late may qualify for compensation of €250, €400 or €600, depending on distance.
Compensation is generally not payable when the airline proves that the disruption resulted from extraordinary circumstances such as severe weather, security risks or airspace restrictions. However, the airline’s obligation to provide care can still apply. EU air-passenger rights
Ask the airline for written confirmation of the cause. If it fails to provide food or accommodation and you must pay, keep itemised receipts for reasonable expenses.
Do not accept a refund before considering whether you still need the airline to carry you. Choosing reimbursement may end its obligation to reroute you.

Hotels near Paphos Airport
There is no large hotel attached directly to the terminal.
The nearest accommodation is found around Timi, Mandria, Geroskipou and Kato Paphos. Kato Paphos has the greatest selection of hotels, restaurants and services, but is approximately 20–25 minutes away by road.
For a very early departure, confirm that the accommodation has overnight reception and can arrange transport. A property described as an “airport hotel” may not offer a shuttle.
Sleeping inside the terminal is possible during an unexpected delay because the airport operates around the clock, but there are no dedicated sleeping facilities.
Paphos or Larnaca: which airport should you fly into?
The most practical airport depends on the final destination:
- Paphos Airport: usually best for Paphos, Coral Bay, Peyia, Polis, Latchi, Aphrodite Hills and western Cyprus.
- Larnaca Airport: usually best for Larnaca, Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Protaras and eastern Cyprus.
- Limassol: compare flights to both airports. Paphos is closer to western Limassol, but Larnaca often offers more routes and frequencies.
