This week, the capital welcomes one of the most esteemed guitarists on the international music scene. Dominic Miller makes his debut at the Axiothea Mansion in a landmark concert on September 24, part of the Cultural Festival of the University of Cyprus.

Over the course of an exceptional career, Miller has established himself as a composer and solo artist with 12 acclaimed solo albums and a distinctive musical language that brings together elements of jazz, Latin American music, folk and the classical tradition.

Since the late 1980s, he has collaborated with artists including Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Katie Melua and Nigel Kennedy, making him one of the most sought-after guitarists in the international recording and touring world.

Miller has appeared on every Sting album since 1991, performed in more than 2,000 concerts with him around the world and co-written songs that have become modern classics, including Shape of My Heart and La Belle Dame sans Regrets.

In contrast to the scale of the world’s largest concert arenas, Miller’s own performances cultivate an atmosphere of intimacy, where music unfolds through sensitivity, spontaneity and the creative interplay between outstanding musicians.

Joined by an exceptional trio (Nicolas Fiszman, Ziv Ravitz, and Mike Lindup), in Nicosia he is set to perform music from across his own catalogue alongside new acoustic interpretations of songs by Sting and The Police, as part of his latest international tour, The Vagabond Tour, a programme that reveals the full breadth of his artistic voice.
