A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing fuel from a car in Nicosia in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Two plastic containers containing approximately 30 litres of petrol were found during a search in the suspect’s car, after he was stopped for a check.

Officers also found a plastic funnel.

The man allegedly admitted to the police that the fuel had been stolen a little earlier from a vehicle parked in Pallouriotissa.
