Following the successful completion of the “Agona Agapis” or “Race of Love” fundraiser ride, the Lexus Cycling Dream Team delivered a cheque for €13,498 to the “ELPIDA” Foundation for Children with Cancer and Leukaemia. The cheque was handed over to Foundation President Dr Loizos G. Loizos Loizou, who warmly thanked the Team for their valuable support.

“The Lexus Cycling Dream Team is an example of humanitarianism and inspiration,” said Dr Loizou. “This amount will be used to support the children who are fighting their own brave battle. We would like to thank the Team, volunteers and all supporters for their significant contribution to our work. Together, we offer hope and smiles to our children.”

This year’s “Agona Agapis” event took place over October 19-20, 2024, with Lexus Cycling Dream volunteer cyclists taking on a challenging 145km off-road route. Starting from Troodos Square, the team ended their ride at the “ELPIDA” Foundation in Nicosia, with all proceeds going to supporting the charity.

This initiative was supported by Bank of Cyprus’ SupportCY, with members of the network’s Volunteer Corps accompanying the cyclists, ensuring the safety and smooth running of the event. At the same time, warm thanks were due to Marketway Publicis Ltd for its support in promoting the event.

In contributing to the work of the “ELPIDA” Foundation and offering children fighting for their lives the support they deserve, Lexus Cycling Dream Team’s action provides a reminder of the power of solidarity and the value of giving.
