An earthquake with a 4 reading on the Richter scale was recorded on Sunday morning with an epicentre 23km north east of Limassol, the European Seismology Centre said.

According to the centre, the earthquake was 13.1km deep.

People living in many areas of Limassol and the surrounding villages said they felt the quake, although no damages or injuries were reported.
