The launch of a temporary children’s activity centre to assist families impacted by evacuations and school closures in Limassol, was announced by the Cyprus Red Cross on Tuesday.

The Stella Souliotis children’s therapeutic centre in Polemidia will host the centre for children aged 3 to 11. Parents or guardians must accompany those under six.

The centre will run daily from 9am to 2pm, offering care for children from communities affected by the Akrotiri drone strike.

Children will engage in activities including painting, creative construction, board games, and storytelling.

This initiative seeks to create a safe and supportive environment, enhancing children’s psychosocial wellbeing.

Breakfast and snacks will be available.
