The nationwide association for children with cancer and related conditions One Dream One Wish is organising its 26th annual “Route of Love” motorcycle ride from March 11 to 15, 2026, according to a press release issued on Thursday.

The charity ride aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by children and young people with cancer while also raising funds to fulfil their wishes.

For many years, the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has supported the association’s efforts.

Traditionally, the second day of the ride begins outside the EAC headquarters. This year, the motorcyclists departed from the site on Thursday at 7.30am.

EAC general manager Adonis Yasemidis welcomed the riders and volunteers, noting that their effort helps ensure children with cancer and their families receive vital financial and psychological support.

“The funds raised will allow the wishes of these children to be fulfilled. This is the greatest reward for every volunteer,” he said, adding that initiatives like the “Route of Love” demonstrate that families facing the disease are not alone.

George Penintaex, president of One Dream One Wish, officially launched the event by sending off the motorcyclists and thanked the EAC for hosting the ride and for its continued support of children with cancer.

The 26th “Route of Love” aims to raise both funds and awareness while bringing hope to affected children and their families.
