Two men, aged 41 and 39, were remanded in custody for seven days by Limassol court on Wednesday over an attempted murder in the city on March 30.

Six others remain in custody for between four and eight days.

“An altercation involved two groups of Iranians and escalated when one individual pulled out a pistol and fired several shots,” police said after the incident.

The force said it is investigating a case of attempted murder.
