Man stabs woman at supermarket in northern Nicosia

A man stabbed a woman inside a supermarket in northern Nicosia on Monday.

The incident occurred inside the Metropol supermarket in the suburb of Taskinkoy, with the man first stabbing the woman, and then stabbing himself.

Both the man and the woman suffered serious injuries and were taken to northern Nicosia’s Dr Burhan Nalbantoglu hospital for treatment.

The Turkish Cypriot police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
