A 40-year-old man was arrested on Monday evening after police discovered more than a kilogram of cannabis during a vehicle stop in Kato Paphos, police said.

According to the drug squad (Ykan), officers stopped the man’s car and, during a search, found 1,194 grammes of cannabis.

He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of illegal possession of controlled substances and taken to Paphos police station for questioning. Investigations are ongoing.
