The nursery school and primary school in the village of Akrotiri, as well as the village’s environmental education centre will reopen on Monday, the education ministry confirmed on Friday.

All three locations have remained closed since the adjacent British air force base was hit by an Iranian-made drone in the early hours of March 2, with lessons this week having taken place in the Limassol district village of Kolossi.

However, with the interior ministry having earlier on Friday announced the end of the evacuation order which had been issued for the village in the aftermath of the drone strike, the village’s schools, too, will now return to normality.
