Revisiting hit rom-com ‘Bridget Jones’ 20 years after release

In this video, Access Hollywood marks 20 years since rom-com ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ opened in cinemas.

For the uninitiated, the film, the first in what would become a successful three-part series (so far!), shares the romantic misadventures of Bridget Jones, a fictional character created by British writer Helen Fielding.

Here, we look at throwback interviews with the hit flick’s stars: Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. In the 2001 interviews, Renée explained to Access Hollywood how she brought Bridget Jones and all her relatable imperfections to life. Hugh also admitted why he was a bit worried Renée wouldn’t nail a British accent… which we all now know she did perfectly.

Will there be a four installment? It would appear that Renée, at least, is willing to step back into character!
