Coronavirus: More than 10,000 checks, 80 booked

For the second day in a row police carried out more than 10,000 checks to detect violations of coronavirus measures.

As a result of 10,374 inspections, conducted between 6am on Monday and 6am on Tuesday, 80 individuals were booked, 37 for moving around without SMS permission and 43 for not wearing protective masks.

In Nicosia the number of checks was 2,073, in Limassol 2,683, in Larnaca 819, in Paphos 1,900, in Famagusta 1,338 and in Morphou 777.

Traffic police conducted another 761 checks and marine police 23.
