Man caught red-handed with cannabis and cocaine arrested in Limassol

A 39-year-old man was arrested on Monday in Limassol after he was found with cannabis and cocaine in his car.

According to police, he was pulled over at around 2pm as part of traffic control efforts. The man turned over a shoulder bag that contained 40 packets of cannabis weighing 69 grams.

Additionally, there were 25 packets containing white powder police believes is cocaine, weighing 16 grams. There were also 10 packets containing 13 grams of cannabis resin and a rolled joint, as well as an unspecified amount of cash.

The 39-year-old tested positive during a narcotest.

He was arrested on the spot and after his home was searched, 51 grams of cannabis were found, along with 24 grams of cannabis resin.

He was re-arrested and detained as investigations continue.
