A festival dedicated to soup

It certainly is the season for a bowl of hot soup and there is no better time to host a festival dedicated to it. Aradippou will host the Soup Fest this December, gathering visitors in Apostolou Square to indulge in local flavours, all kinds of soups, mulled wine and eggnog. Mark your calendars for December 27!

Since the beginning of the last month of the year, Aradippou has been dressed in red, white and green celebrating the Christmas season with a rich programme of events for children and adults. Its activities will continue all throughout December until January 1 and include parades, theatre performances, storytelling and visits from Santa. Its most anticipated occasion is the organisation of the Soup Fest, which will highlight local produce and tasty winter recipes and offer an opportunity to gather at the village’s square.

The event will be a short happening, from 6pm to around 8.30pm, filling the square with food and drink stalls. Apart from serving hot soup and seasonal hot beverages, the festival will also include kiosks with more local delights and a stage with performances. Live music, shadow and puppet theatre, a Christmas photo booth and Christmas elves and polar bears will add to the evening’s programme, enriching Aradippou’s holiday spirit.
