Coronavirus: government spokesman tests positive

Government spokesman Kyriakos Koushos

Government spokesman Kyriacos Koushos has tested positive for coronavirus, he announced on Friday.

The news comes a week after Koushos received the AstraZeneca vaccine on March 19.

In a written announcement, Koushos said that he had been in self isolation as a close contact of presidential aide Victoras Papadopoulos, who tested positive for coronavirus on Monday.

Koushos added that he has not experienced any symptoms, but a PCR test on Friday came back positive.

He will remain in self-isolation for the next ten days at least.
