Man rescued from danger in Faros area

Authorities rescued a 36-year-old man in danger in the Faros area, Larnaca on Thursday, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) said.

According to the JRCC, they received a call from the port police that a man was in danger around 11.15am.

The JRCC coordinated port police, lifeguards, a helicopter, and land units to go to the Larnaca area to rescue the man.

The man was fishing and free diving in the Faros area, where he was found. After police found him in a stable condition, the man was taken to an ambulance.
