Blast damages Limassol home

An explosion damaged a home in Limassol on Thursday, police said, from a makeshift bomb that had been thrown at the house.

According to police, at midnight a makeshift explosive in a plastic container was thrown at the first-floor veranda of the home in Ayios Athanasios, Limassol.

Arriving at the scene, the police bomb squad discovered that a balcony door and floor had been damaged in the blast.

Police are continuing their investigations.
