How women can protect their heart at midlife (part 2)

This video is meant to expand your general knowledge about living a healthy life and is NOT a substitute for seeking medical advice. Please consult with your doctor before making changes in your health practices, diet and self-care.

In this video, Dr. Christiane Northrup delivers the second part of a presentation on how women can enjoy good heart health in midlife, (see part 1 here).

Heart disease is the leading killer of women over the age of 50, with heart attacks twice as deadly for women as they are for men.

To begin with, she discusses the role of important minerals, enzymes and vitamins. Obviously, only your personal physician should prescribe the correct combination of supplements for you, and tailor doses according to your particular needs.

Dr. Northrup also covers the benefits of exercise when it comes to heart health, the need to stop smoking, the importance of avoiding gum disease, and more.
