Paphos man arrested for driving five times over alcohol limit and carrying knuckle duster

Police in Paphos arrested a 36-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning for driving while five times over the legal alcohol limit and carrying a knife and a knuckle duster.

The man was pulled over by police at around 1am and blew a reading of a whopping 101 micrograms of alcohol at a roadside breathalyser test, five times above the legal limit of 22.

A second reading was taken in which he blew a reading of 93 micrograms.

Police then searched his vehicle and found a knife with an 8cm long blade and a knuckle duster.

He was arrested, and the police are continuing their investigation.
