The musicians of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra returned to Pallas Theatre on February 8, to rehearse and video-record a wealth of chamber music works that they had been practising during January from home. Two concerts will be streamed this month through the Orchestra’s channel on YouTube, on February 20 and 27 at 7pm.

Two extremely versatile programmes for various ensembles, ranging from duets to quintets have been finely selected in consultation with the musicians themselves. Titled The Joy of Chamber Music, audiences will be able to enjoy an hour of pure musical delight from home for free. Original chamber music works and arrangements spanning from the early baroque to the 20th century, by composers such as Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Frideric Handel, Joseph Haydn, Antonín Dvořák, Jacques Ibert, Manuel de Falla, Komitas Vardapet, Béla Bartόk, Alexej Gerassimez, and many more will feature in the repertoire.

To watch the streamed concerts, visit the CySO Channel on YouTube or the official Facebook page – Cyprus Symphony Orchestra – to find the link to each concert and much more about the concerts and activity of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.
