ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ – ΛΗΣΤΕΙΑ ΥΠΑΛΛΗΛΟΥ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑΣ

Police said Thursday 27 cases connected to sex crimes have either been investigated or were under investigation by the force’s task force.

Spokeswoman Eleni Constantinou said 14 cases have been filed in court while the rest were under investigation. One of them is expected to be submitted to the Legal Service for instructions regarding its handling. Five of them are being studied by the Legal Service

“We continue to collect evidence and take statements,” Constantinou said. “Some of these cases, which are under investigation are close to completion and they are expected to be filed.”

Constantinou urged the public to trust the police and report cases, which “we stress once more, are investigated with the utmost confidentiality by the task force.”
