Arrest after drugs, firecrackers found

A 26-year-old man was arrested and subsequently remanded for eight days late on Sunday after police found illegal drugs and firecrackers in his house in Larnaca.

Following a tip-off, the drug squad carried out a search of the house on Sunday afternoon.

During the search, officers found two plastic bags containing 144 grammes of cannabis, 464 grammes of cocaine, and 71 firecrackers.

Police also confiscated a large amount of money in cash.
