Cyprus marked its presence in one of Europe’s most significant food and beverage exhibitions, presenting its distinctive booth featuring products from eighteen Cypriot companies.

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, Cyprus participated in the International Exhibition for Food, Beverages, Hotel Equipment, and Gastronomy, known as “Alles Für Den Gast,” held from November 11 to 15, 2023, in Salzburg, Austria.

The Cypriot booth showcased products from eighteen local companies, including halloumi cheese, organic carob and pomegranate products, organic olive oil, olives, conventional and organic dried fruits, popcorn with various flavours, pasta, quail eggs, salt flakes, and wines.

During the exhibition, tastings of Cypriot products were conducted, providing samples and informational materials about the companies from Cyprus for potential future collaborations.

It has been reported that several Cypriot companies participating in the exhibition are already in contact with international importers, aiming to place their products in foreign markets.

The “Alles Für Den Gast” exhibition, held annually since 1970, attracted 680 exhibitors from 42 countries this year, drawing 35,451 visitors across an area of 42,500 square metres.

It stands as Austria’s most significant exhibition for food, beverages, hotel equipment, and gastronomy, being the largest exhibition in the Alpine-Adriatic-Danube region and one of Europe’s most prominent events in the field.
