Arsonists attack luxury car in Limassol

A car set on fire in Limassol in the early hours of Tuesday was extinguished by neighbours who noticed the vehicle aflame.

According to the police, the fire broke out at 1.30am in a luxury vehicle owned by a 29-year-old which was parked outside his house, in the Omonia area. The perpetrators are alleged to have surrounded the car with flammable material and set it on fire.

The fire services fully extinguished the flames upon arrival at the scene and police recorded the extensive damages to the vehicle.

Authorities cordoned off the scene to investigate and found evidence of the flammable material which is in the process of being identified and traced.
